CITY OF GRANTS GARAGE/YARD SALE PERMIT

Governed under the City of Grants Ordinance #95-1010 and Permit is Non-Refundable

Please adhere to the public health order guideline for social distancing and large gatherings. It should be limited to twenty (20) customers at one time. Effective April 7, 2021.

Rules & Regulation:

A: Post this permit in a location visible from the street

B: No signs shall be posted anywhere in the City of Grants advertising such sales, except that the property owner may install, on the residential lot on which such sale is to be held, advertising such sale. Such signs shall be erected until the day of the sale, and shall be removed at the end of the last day upon which the sale is held. (Signs posted on public poles or public property may be subject to fines under Ordinance #340 of up to $300.)

C: All permits must be applied for in advance of the sale. Non-profits must provide a copy of their 501C-3 in order to not be charged.

D: Not more than three (3) such sales per annum shall be held at the premises occupied by the same family.

E: Any sale conducted pursuant to the provisions hereof shall be confirmed to the period between 8:00a.m. and 8:00p.m. of any day and shall not exceed three (3) days.

F: Permits may be revoked pursuant to Section 3 of the Ordinance. Violation of this Ordinance may be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and may be punishable by a fine of up to $500 or imprisonment for 90 days or both.
